“Nee, wake up.”
Kagami furrowed his brows stubbornly, refusing to open his eyes. He could perfectly tell that the sun had risen already but he refused to acknowledge the idea of waking.
He felt tugging at the blanket and he reached for it, pulling it back over himself and curled into his pillow. “Go away, Atsushi.”
“I’m hungry.” He repeated and Kagami felt the bed shift.
“Then go bug your owner; I’m sleeping.”
“Muro-chin is still sleeping.” He replied and flicked his long purple tail in such a way that he smacked Kagami in the face with it.
The red haired man made an unpleasant sound and pulled the covers over his head. “Then go wake him up.”
There was a brief moment, just a pause, where Kagami thought that maybe the cat had taken the hint. Then suddenly there was a heavy weight on him and he gasped in surprise. Struggling under the blanket and the sudden weight of the heavy cat, Kagami cried out in distress. “Arghh, Tatsuya!! Tatsuya, come get your animal! Oww! Atsushi, no biting!!” He hissed as the cat bit into his by now exposed shoulder.
“Feed me.” He spoke, teeth still sunk into his shoulder.
Just then, the door hinges squeaked as the door was pushed open more. Atsushi let go of Kagami almost instantly and sat up, his tail flicking happily behind himself and his fuzzy ears twitching at the sound. Perfectly behaved. Himuro entered, a sleepy look on his face as he rubbed at his eye lazily. “Atsushi, I thought I told you not to bug Taiga first thing in the morning.”
The giant cat’s ears flicked down in guilt but he didn’t look the part. “But it’s time for breakfast.”
Himuro ran a hand through his hair as he moved over to the bed just as Kagami buried himself back into his covers, mumbling annoyances on being woken up on his day off. Reaching out, Himuro scratched softly behind Atsushi’s ears and gave the cat a soft smile. He flicked his tail once more, leaning heavily into the touch and purring softly. His eyes were half lidded until Himuro reached over and scratched under his chin as well. Atsushi’s eyes closed and he leaned so far forward that he fell back to the bed.
Himuro laughed softly, withdrawing him hands. “Come on, boy. Let’s get you some breakfast.”
Atsushi perked up immediately and hopped off the bed. He buried his face into Himuro’s neck and licked at the skin softly in affection. Himuro chuckled and leaned away, glancing over his shoulder at the cat. “Alright, alright, let’s go see what’s left over in the fridge.”
